Week 8 of Term 4 the Bush Ranger students had their final end of year camp at the Mackeral Islands. This fantastic opportunity was enjoyed by all students and staff. Each day consisted of a range of activities including; Snorkelling, Fishing and Hiking. The main attraction of the camp was the ability to be involved with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attraction with the Thevenard Island Turtle Monitoring Program. Each night students would assist researchers in measuring, tagging and taking samples of turtles as well as monitoring the turtles during the egg laying and nesting period.
